Real Potential or Useless Gimmick?

Recommended Posts

Have a read of this and say what you think. Is this a real potential step in the right direction to bringing back the bedroom gamer?

Or is it a useless gimmick that only attempts to open the door to everybody, despite the fact the modders and indie/homebrew programmers have been doing this for years.

Cheap way of getting ideas, is to use other people's. Brilliant.

It's interesting, and I might consider downloading next year, once I'm taking AP Computer Science...until then, I'm just using Python in Honors, so I'm not planning to use it

I wonder what the deal will be about the ownership of the games... :hmm:

*cough* Halogen *cough*

You watch, their will be small print somewhere within some document that comes with Vista, that not a single soul on this planet will read that'll say:

All software created by this program is the sole property of Microsoft Corporation 1981-2007

And before ya know it, bang! The creator gets stripped of their hard work and Microsoft threatens law suits. Just so Microsoft can take up the idea and develop it themselves. A name for this heartless act? "The Halogen Amendment"

Yup, which is why I would never try to sell it, so they can't claim that it's theirs (if I did create a game, which is unlikely)
