Cygnus X-1 12 Posted November 13, 2006 It was the decision of the Iraqi people however. I believe America did the right thing by having no part in the trial and sentancing of the former dictator. Is it barbaric? I watched The Green Mile and considered the normal executions to be bad enough ('the sponge was dry' scene made me get rid of the film), and it says a lot about the people who would derive pleasure from such an act. True this is not the purpose of public executions, or the sole reason, there are others such as a sense of closure to victims for example. I still question whether or not it would be something I would have a part of. Yes, it WAS their decision, which Is why I'm trying not to say a whole lot about it. If thats how they want to do it, then fine. As long as they had the choice. But I would never condone such an action, because the way I see it, falling to their level to make an example of them kinda makes us just as bad. At least in cases like this. F15pilotX 4 Posted November 17, 2006 I'd ask why it doesn't bother you to kill a person that poses no further danger.Wow, some people are just plain tards Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted November 17, 2006 Yes, some are, but not those who disagree with the death penalty. Remember Schapelle Corby? I would not have accepted the verdict even if she was guilty. Please do not flame. Share this post Link to post
