Recommended Posts

In the regullar C&C generals single player mode you can turn up the game speed. In multiplayer it is brutally slow. Is there any way to change this?

I don't think that multiplayer is so sloooooowww.

It depends on the computers

When I played in multiplayer ( AMD Athlon 1800+, 256 MB DDR, 64 MB VGA ) I got a few lags but I think that is normal, not slow.

I don't know how to speed it up.

In RA2, multiplayer could be sped up, but it may cause that expert players change the speed to the highest level, and the novice change it to lower level, and it may cause a "fight" as well. Maybe EA has disabled it and set it to the normal speed for all players.

And Generals need high system requirements, while not all computers fulfill the recommend system requirements, so if you change the speed, the computer with low resources will get lags or may be crash.

In Zero Hour (not sure about Generals) you can turn the multiplayer speed up by using the slider. There was a connection speed thing in RA2 and YR but all the n00bs always turned it up to maximum which always makes the lag worse - you can change the game speed in game on RA2 and YR also, which would be a good idea for Generals/ZH but it's obvious whay the removed the connection speed thing.
