playing Red Alert online.

I’ve been following C&C planet’s guide to getting Red Alert to play online I installed the 303 patch, now they say I need to install the newest version of West Wood Online but I don’t see how you can sign up an account since West Wood is dead. Is C&C planet’s info bad or can you still use West Wood Online?

 

Is it possible to get West Wood Online to work or do I even need to use it?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think XWIS have taken over the functionality of WOL.

 

I know at least with Renegade, when you enter a user name and password into the appropriate spots, it creates those details over on XWIS.

If you got a game like Renegade, just create an account from there. Its easier and you can use that name for say, any WOL supported game.

 

Its possible to create an account with just C&C 1 or RA1 too though, forgot how.

 

By the way, I wouldn't recommend 3.03, most people play with the patch below that one.

activates online when you put it in your RA1 directory :wink:
