Zero Hour Lan Problem

Recommended Posts

Guest papalemon

Hi, I have problem connecting with direct connection... When i tried to connect to my friend's computer, I get Connection timed out.

I have a linksys 4port router. the other specifications are met. which i think the problem is with the router.

i have tried all the solutions, like forwarding 27910 and setting the programe to read port 27910 in options, but none worked...

In my home network, I am the only one who is playing Zero Hour, so it couldn't be the problem of conflicting ports/IPs

When i checked the option, My IP is the same as my Lan IP... is that the problem? sorry for the poor english =P

Your description is very technical and while I don't know anything about networking, you can always try turning firewalls off, be they software or hardware firewalls.

P.S. Your english is great :)

mmm... so its a router/switch, i use a billion Adsl modem router connected to a 10/100 switch (seperate unit), and driect connect works fine. i am not sure how it would handle the packets but it seems internal packets are getting put through firewall (how odd). Try to set the lan as DMZ that might fix the problem

My Lan IP is Static... the "Original" IP is Dynamic... my Comp is set for the DMZ... Maybe I just sucked in Configurating my Router
