MaxFirestorm 0 Posted March 13, 2007 I recently bought (yesterday) CNC1stDec so I could finally play RA2 again since my friend borrowed my copy and hasn't returned it >.> So, I installed everything and Red Alert 2 gives me the error "***FATAL*** String Manager Failed to Initialize Properly " Yuri's Revenge shows the splash screen, and then gives me the above error! Does anyone know how to correct this problem? I'm running Windows Vista (With Compatability Mode set to XP SP2) Intel Centrino M processor, 1GB DDR2RAM, 24x DVD RW If you need to know any more, then please let me know ^^ Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted March 15, 2007 We some people have problems getting RA2 to run under Windows XP so maybe something to do with Vista. Can you set the compatibility mode in Vista to Windows 98? Share this post Link to post
MaxFirestorm 0 Posted March 20, 2007 That seemed to work... I also applied the 102 patch to First Decade, as well as the 106 patch to RA2 and Yuri's Revenge...
