Data Folder

I need to change the location where Generals ZH stores it preferences, saved games, user maps etc.. My MyDocuments folder is located on a network share and causes many problems. I would like to tell generals to use another location that is local. If someone could help me it would greatly be appreciated.

I'm not really sure that you can. The game doesn't store the location of this game data folder anywhere, so it determines it from your profile's location... which probably cannot be changed.

Must be hard coded in the game somewhere. I found that i can change the name of the folder via the registry, but not the location. When I change it to an invalid folder name Ie. c:saved games, generals will run ok but many functions do not work such as, saving games, previewing maps etc. (The folder doesn't get created). Maybe someone can come up with a way to modify the hard code. Seems like EA would expect people to want to change where saved games go and such.
