The build, rebuilt.

I didn't plan on being online for awhile, but there is nothing better to do, and I need to occupy my time.

 

 

You may remember a little bit ago I made a budget gamer, but I hadn't ordered it just yet (car needed work, money went there.) I decided I was going to spend 700 dollars on a computer. Well, it was going to be for my Mom too, and she hasn't got good eyesight.

 

Since my Mom is gone, I won't get the big LCD monitor and I'll use the really big CRTs I have. I rebuilt my system on NewEgg (Needed something to do) and for $750 dollars, I perfected my gamer.

 

This is really an entirely different animal from the machine I had before. Easily twice what it was. I will put more thingies in it, this is the "Barebone". I will buy more RAM (4 gigs), eventually two LCDs (I wanta 19-inch widescreen for the main and a 15-inch for the secondary), a Raptor HDD, a better sound card, a TV tuner ... upgrades, upgrades, upgrades.

 

I am naming the system "Ash" in honor of my Mum. (Her friends called her Ash.)

Swap the motherboard for something better, by that I mean a better brand like ASUS, GigaByte or DFI.

 

Forget about 4 GB Ram, thats overkill, Windows will never use or need it. You will find that 2 GB is more than enough.

Whats wrong with it? Is it because its not a big brand name? Please, sometimes the little ones are great for the dollar and if its got good reviews, by all means nothing is wrong.

 

As for the RAM.. It is 2 GB. 1 GB x 2
