C&C3 Reviewed Again

Recommended Posts

The reviews just keep coming don't they. Here are some of the latest.

UGO | 80%

I came. I commanded. I conquered. Now what? That's the feeling left behind after spending countless hours with EA's latest real-time strategy game, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, a by-the-numbers title that falls way short of stardom. If you're looking for a Command & Conquer game like the good ole days, then you'll find it, but if you're expecting innovation, sorry Charlie, Command & Conquer 3 is stuck in the past.

Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is a relentless assault on the nerves and senses. Never before has a strategy game spewed forth such a barrage of action and color, or demanded such adrenalized concentration from the player. There’s nary a dull moment – or a moment to breath, for that matter. From the campaign’s first mission to the final ion cannon strike against some anonymous opponent halfway across the country, C&C 3 never lets up and never disappoints. It is undoubtedly more than just a worthy successor to Westwood’s classic franchise: it is ferocious proof that, if dressed properly, some things never get old.

The Command and Conquer series is an established part of PC gaming - it's in its second decade now and its popularity shows no sign of waning. Tiberium Wars is officially the third installment of Command and Conquer - although there have of course been many spin offs along the way. So does it stand the test of time, and can it continue to offer something new to its devotees? Read what we think in this issue.

So once again we see some good (but not great) scores there.

Indeed, i read in full UGO's review and i must say i think the guy had a **** up his arse. Im still playing the demo of C&C mainly because none of the computers in my house can run it, and i absolutely love it, the guy reviewing the game for UGO i think expected more, well too bad for him, i think this is quite possibly the best C&C to come out to date, save for TD, and TS, this game is new and fresh and your ****ing stright it plays like the old one idiot

"...if your expecting innovation, sorry Charlie, Command & Conquer 3 is stuck in the past."

Wish i could launch a hellfire of scatter missles at this fool, the problem with these reviewers is that, when Westwood controlled the series Westwood met the community's expectations, now EA FINALLY gets out a great C&C game, one i think all the fans will like, and the Reviewers out there set their standards to high for it, i think its a damn great game, sure i havent played it in full, but the demo has kept me entertained for nearly 5 hours a day...the full version of the game cant be that ferking bad, i myself dont understand where all these half-arsed reviews are comming, from. Can someone here possibly fill me in on this? :?:

Maybe he/she doesn't like MCU like building but that is C&C (and after all you now have more build queues - at least the possibliity of it)... If you ask me C&C3 is great as far as I played it up to now... Although I don't have played it online so there might is still some need for balancing corrections or something like this but that has nothing to do with the reviews...

But if you ask me: Nowadays RTS games are not that much different from gaming possiblities anymore (C&C3 is different with its more building queues - at least a bit)... Maybe he/she does want that there are more hero-like units in it (like Battle for Middle-Earth or something but I would say that those doesn't fit to C&C and I would also NOT like it to see them in there - the same for dozers ... dozers should never be there in C&C... that's just not C&C)...

Reviews are one persons opinion. The only thing that matters is if you personally enjoy the game.
