Sonic 296 Posted April 29, 2007 There was a World Cup on.... and its finally finished? Seriously though what a boring tournament it was, it took 7 weeks to reach that point. I don't recall past cricket World Cups taking that long to play. Share this post Link to post

sith_wampa 6 Posted May 1, 2007 Ugh.. Cricket? How about some good old AMERICAN Baseball? Share this post Link to post
vyper 0 Posted May 1, 2007 nah baseball is a brainless game imo. there is still an element of strategy in cricket plus more skill. in baseball all u have to do is whack the ball hard... no classy, cheeky shots, no variety in balls except swing through the air.....the one thing i hate about crick is its too long so its pretty worthless trying to watch a whole match. not so if ur playing out there tho. Luk3us 63 Posted May 1, 2007 Cricket is brilliant in that you can play for 5 days and still have a draw. Share this post Link to post

Eh? Baseball requires alot of thinking, strategy, and skill; all of which are intertwined. You need to know who has the ball, who is on base, what you will do if the ball comes to you, who may need help on a play, what bases should you cover, where to run when on base, what kind of pitch to throw if your a pitcher, and where you should hit the ball when your batting. The list goes on and on. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted May 1, 2007 I don't know much about cricket except you hit a ball and can't hit it with your body on purpose and you have a stick (I don't even know what shape it is) in baseball it takes minimal skill once you learn and pitchers are just the people who aren't strong enough to hit that well in the AL but neither sport will ever beat lacrosse its fast intense and you get to hit people with long metal poles Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted May 2, 2007 Not enough thinking in Lacrosse. Too much running back and forth. :? Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted May 2, 2007 yes but there is also the thought of should i bounce it, is this guy gonna come and attack me, is this guy defensive, will the keeper go this way or that, which way will the ball bounce if I do bounce it, should I go attack this guy, should I go cover this guy, its lots of thinking on the fly Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 2, 2007 Lacrosse is for girls. I'm serious here, I've only seen chicks play it over here and that is an extreme rarity in its self. Share this post Link to post
