C&C3 is filled with way too many large open battlefields.

And that CAN make a game boring in the end.

Sorry for making such a big deal out of it, I know some of you are unhappy with those big pics.

HUH? If anything TD and TS were that, not C&C 3! I liked TD and TS cause they were more open, more cliffs and obstacles to go over, C&C 3 has none of this. It feels closed in too, the maps are small.

It relly depends on what maps you are playing.

Im mostly refering to campaigns.

The NOD mission where you have to rob the nuke convoys, for example.

That map is just FLAT!. And plenty of all the other maps are flat too.

When we are talking about an open battle, its just a question of having the right units and strike first.

If we have a terrain like that on the picture in TS. It would more be a question of where to put different units and how to use them.

And that's tactic if you ask me.

Tactics not about commanding 20 tanks into a desert to just shoot at 20 other tanks and hope to win.

The terrain is making a battle very unpredictable.

For example:

Having 4 artillery standing on top of cliffs aiming down a canyon.

They could kill about 12 tanks or something before the other player decides to change tactics.

In flat terrain artillery has almost no terrain protection, If the units protection get's destroyed, theres nothing to do.

becouse the enemy is getting closer so quick.

Hostile terrain with lots of bridges and cliffs, simply are the funnest, becouse every battle unfolds unpredictable.

I know you get tired of reading that's why I stop it now :D

I think it also has to do with the fog of war. I know the fog of war is way more realistic, but it doesn't have the classic C&C feel. :?
