JahSpoR 0 Posted August 29, 2007 Nod is an organisation, with a huge amount of military forces. But Kane apparently has more in mind than just an organisation. What's behind it? A Relegion or an Ideology? Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted August 29, 2007 Don't think it can be decided by us. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 30, 2007 Indeed, EA are steering it towards more of a religion in C&C3. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted August 30, 2007 Nod is a mix of a country-state, religion and a corporation, whilst being, in true essence, none of the above. Share this post Link to post
spark 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I think it's a ideology for Westwood context, but EA made it religious...the worshipping of Tiberium... Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Well, it was stated many times, including in an entry in the GDI Intel Database (C&C3), that, "The Brotherhood of Nod began to represent a globalized as well as a highly militant Abrahamic cult in modern times, showing the combined characteristics of a vast religious movement, a multi-national corporation and a boundaryless nation-state, while being none of the three in itself." Luk3us 63 Posted September 23, 2007 Whist they may say that, they are portrayed as stupid terrorists with some crazy leader.... I'm constantly saddened by what they have done to the once powerful Brotherhood of Nod. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted September 23, 2007 Don't worry, your cyborg brethren will return... IN THE NAME OF KANE! Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted September 23, 2007 Whist they may say that, they are portrayed as stupid terrorists with some crazy leader.... I'm constantly saddened by what they have done to the once powerful Brotherhood of Nod. Isn't that what they really are? = A bunch of crazies with an equally crazy leader? >_> Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Crazy? Maybe. Tactical genius? Abso-****ing-lutely Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 11, 2007 Isn't that what they really are? =A bunch of crazies with an equally crazy leader? >_> Perhaps, but in TD and TS they were a bit more than your typical "blow myself up dickhead terrorists", they employed stealth and tactics and strategies against GDI. Now Nod sends fanatics to blow up walls... Share this post Link to post
Aexilus 0 Posted October 11, 2007 It feels like in the post-9/11 world EA wanted to accentuate that Nod were the bad guys by making them more religious, giving them suicide infantry (thus making ppl link them to GLA), etc. Total poo as far as I'm concerned. Luckily, Kane lifts Nod up a hundred miles into the sky and really saves the whole game from the hell known as mediocrity. Share this post Link to post
AfronovA 0 Posted October 31, 2007 The Brotherhood is a fake! its all being orchestrated by CABAL! Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 31, 2007 Lies. Nothing more than filthy propaganda perpetrated by GDI. Shoot that man! Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted October 31, 2007 But Ideoligy would be better than religion I think.. I feel nod has become darker these days. People begins to see them as some kind of hellspawn or something. Theire prolly Emos in C&C4 haha! Share this post Link to post
AfronovA 0 Posted October 31, 2007 I belive in peace thru power! DOWN WITH GDI! Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted October 31, 2007 even if Kane became an emo? HAHA! would look so stupid.. part of Nod is too look cool,. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 31, 2007 How dare you cast the almighty saviour down with those "people". Ugh... Shoot that man too! Share this post Link to post
JahSpoR 0 Posted October 31, 2007 c'mon Just said that Kane is not an emo and he never will be, If EA doesn't totally screw up the whole thing! Share this post Link to post
