Doctor Destiny 42 Posted October 18, 2007 mormreed](o and btw I live on 1337 noeffingway lane)... You do? SO DO I! Anyway, all joking aside, I agree with ya morm. PARENTS need to educate their kids a little more about the Intarwebz. It's the same as real life... don't give away information like your name, address, phone, etc. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted October 18, 2007 it's just like RL, if you wouldn't talk to a random stranger IRL then why on the intarwebz? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted October 18, 2007 mormreed]it's just like RL, if you wouldn't talk to a random stranger IRL then why on the intarwebz? Because the Internet offers anonymity, which works both ways. If you educate the younger generation about the matter, a lot of problems should clear up but the thing is getting the information out there insted of pussyfooting around the issue. Doctor Destiny 42 Posted October 19, 2007 Meh, if your stupid, then stupid things will happen to you. Common sense should prevail, but alas. Most kids don't use common sense. They think nothing bad will happen and that's not true, as proven by the posted article. Share this post Link to post

General Leang 0 Posted October 19, 2007 And frankly predators out there are as cunning as a **** house rat. It is easy to fake being someone else, even to the point of forging photos, identification and such if you want to go the whole nine yards. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted October 20, 2007 ok so here it is the plain and simple message everyone is trying to send: "IF U GIVE OUT ID STUFF ONLINE U GON GET RAPET!!!" it's the sad truth Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted October 20, 2007 You can't use total scare tactics like that though, because it's stretching the truth really really long. Put it simply like this, "You could get lucky and give out personal info and nothing happen - but you could give it out and be killed, raped, beaten, or anything else that is horrible to think of. Just be careful." Share this post Link to post
