Trouble reading TS:GDI CD in Windows 2000

Recommended Posts

I have been having increasing difficulty getting TS to load/play from the GDI CD in my CD/DVD combo drive on a Windows 2000 PC. I installed the game from this CD and it worked relatively well until about the 4th mission. Then running from the desktop icon or the start menu stopped working and the autorun when inserting the CD only worked occassionally (frequently the CD would not even be recognized by the drive). After some online investigation, I uninstalled and re-installed in the Windows 95 compatible mode and auto-updated with the official Westwood v2.03 patch. Now only the Skirmish selection works. Anyone have any ideas?

PS. A general C&C question: How can I continue a campaign after shutting down the PC for the night at the end of a mission (like Blizzard a/o 'Age of ...' games ? I had been saving at the start of each mission and then loading that saved game when I came back to play.

I really think that ur cd is damaged and that it is nothing to do with windows.

Try a different copy of the cd and see if it works but if it dont work it could be windows 2000!
