Red Blitzkrieg 0 Posted March 27, 2008 Not sure where I shoulda put this, but ever since a few weeks ago after I had mt computer cleaned of viruses and anti-spyware and virus programs have been put on it I've had probs w/my Dawn of War and Company of Heroes graphics, they keep flickering and pink shows up AND the main menu load takes forever. What really kicks me in the ballz is that I am unable yo even run C&C3 OR Kane's Wrath. I took my comp to Geek Squad in Best Buy today and they said I'd be better off with a brand new comp. which I don't have the money for, now I have to wait who knows how long to Play Kane's Wrath. Here are the error messages I get C&C 3 Kane's Wrath Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted March 28, 2008 (edited) There was the possibility that while cleansing of these no-good viruses that it inadvertently corrupted certain files related to the graphics. Try reinstalling the games. If that doesn't work, reinstall your graphics drivers. As a last resort, if all else fails, reinstall windows. If those don't work, then it could be your graphics card itself. It's not mobo-embedded, is it? <_< Get me a picture of the graphical glitches in the other games, as well as your system specs. I'll be able to help a lot more with those. Edited March 28, 2008 by Dr. Rodney McKay Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted March 29, 2008 If your getting graphical corruption in your games it could be a sign that your video card is on its way to failing or is faulty. Could also be a possible over heating issue. Share this post Link to post
Red Blitzkrieg 0 Posted March 30, 2008 My system specs error type one........tried to get the graphics flashing and pink square/circle thing but it stopped but still lags like heck when loading Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted March 30, 2008 You could always pop your case open, remove the video card, make sure the fan is free of dust and crap, re-insert the card. Update drivers as well. Also your going to struggle with only 512 MB RAM. Windows XP really needs 1 GB RAM. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted March 30, 2008 If reinstalling the stuff didn't work and Sonic's suggestion about cleaning it, try ATi Tools and scan for artifacts. Share this post Link to post

TheBlackOut 7 Posted March 31, 2008 ... Have you reinstalled the games and graphic drivers? Can't really help you further if you don't do this... Share this post Link to post
Red Blitzkrieg 0 Posted April 1, 2008 (edited) ATI tools seems to work but it keeps askin me to make sure that I have DirectX 9.0 or higher (which I do) and that my video card meets minimum requirements Edited April 1, 2008 by Red Blitzkrieg Share this post Link to post
