NODSOLDIERGIRL 2 Posted November 5, 2011 The fans got what they asked for... it's on YouTube! After almost a month, I have released the next episode of Community Battlecast Primetime! It was difficult to figure out just how I wanted to make this work, but I think this was better than the first one. Let me know what you think. Enjoy! There will be more episodes to come once there is more C&C news. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. If you missed the first Community Battlecast Primetime, click here. Lauren 78 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) I miss something like the part of apoc's corner where he presented mods, also please don't make the text flash, it's hard to read. Other than that: there are some interesting designs and I still want one of those hoodies. Edited November 5, 2011 by Lauren Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 6, 2011 Nice. The ski board designs are pretty wicked, specially the Nod ones. Also, needs some music running as undercurrent as it sounds a little, 'empty'. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted November 7, 2011 Well this was a nice suprise. Looking forward to see this develop. Share this post Link to post
NODSOLDIERGIRL 2 Posted November 7, 2011 Thanks for the tips everyone, I'm working on some more ideas to make this better. I miss something like the part of apoc's corner where he presented mods, also please don't make the text flash, it's hard to read. Other than that: there are some interesting designs and I still want one of those hoodies. Yes so do I, and sorry for the flashing text. Share this post Link to post
neogrant 4 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Its good, and I commend you on your efforts. The only criticism is the fact you repeat " head over to cncnz " quite a bit. The other was maybe adding some C&C music to the background when you're talking, and work on the editing of the video, default moviemaker background at the start for example..needs to be changed, make an intro just for the battlecast, like cncnz have done with their videos, just to give it more of a professional look and edge. My two cents anyway. Edited November 7, 2011 by neogrant Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) It's a good thing you are trying to bring more users into this forum, NSG. (mentioning CNCNZ several times) For the next episode, make your voice sound more energetic like David Silverman in BCPT. Also if you have a logo ready for CBCPT, make a splash screen with that in the beginning of the clip. Edited November 7, 2011 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
klandri 2 Posted November 7, 2011 I originally posted this on the official forums but I guess I'll share it here as well: Much better than last time but there is definitely still room for improvement. 1. The intro is too damn loud and it ends too abruptly. 2. Don't make letters flash (like at 0:25), it's highly annoying... 3. Put all links in the description (http://forums.cncnz.com, links to ALL the fan art etc.), and tell people it's there. 4. At 2:20 you switch recordings, that's ok and I encourage you to increase the number of cuts but it's too obvious there, try to make it smooth and keep the sound quality consistent. 5. Encourage people to comment. Who wants to enter some site (which, again, there is no link to) to voice their opinion? 6. The outro is also way too loud, I was tempted to comment "RIP headphone users". 7. Improve the description, tell people why you're doing this, who's doing it, etc. It really does improve the professionalism impression. 8. Be more emotional! This was kinda boring for 2 and a half minutes... Edit 2: 8. a) Like Luk3us suggested on CNCNZ, a little music in the background might do the trick. 9. I can't really blame you for not doing it, but I would recommend trying to find some way to increase the sound quality. 10. Again, I can't really blame you for not doing it, as it takes a lot more effort, but I would recommend making more takes and cutting them. 11. Consider getting people to work with you. The original team kinda just left, but now that it has actually started I think it will be a lot easier getting people to help. Edit: 12. If this is going to be a consistent (or not so consistent) show then make it its own YouTube channel. (13.) I put this in a bracket as it is only my personal opinion. That yellow-greenish colored font is hideous on the blue background. This is meant in the best possible way and I encourage you to keep it up! Share this post Link to post
