Command & Conquer Games now 50% Off on Origin
cnc_sage replied to Plok's topic in Command & Conquer News
I'm surprised they're cheaper than on Steam. -
Well, I installed MidEast Crisis 2 on it and it's working. I intend to look for more mods in the near future.
-
Other than Crimson City it was the only track worth listening to.I'm also dissapointed by the lack of Nod Crush. It's still my favourite song ever.

C&C Community Bracket Game - Semi-Finalists Found
cnc_sage replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Tiberian Sun makes it to the semi-finals. Incredible. Also incredible is that TS is currently leading against YR. Heh, a battle of the first sequels? TS vs. RA2? I'd like to see that. -
>Tiberian Sun voted over Red Alert 3 What is this I don't even Well, TS is my favourite game, but I didn't expect it to win in any bracket, especially against RA3 or any of the newer games for that matter.

I'm thinking of buying TW so I can play MidEast Crisis 2. Do mods work on Steam games?
-
There seems to be an old vs. new theme going on there.

Cancelled C&C Games: What Could Have Been & Never Will Be
cnc_sage replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I take it Arena was the online game intended for the Asian market which the EA-execs decided to turn into C&C4 instead, for $$$. -
Command & Conquer 4 Name That Unit Contest
cnc_sage replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I'd go for "Forgotten Bunny" after seeing its walking (or should I say hopping) animation on the latest BCPT episode. Those smoke stacks could be its ears, like the tall ears of rabbit. -

Lol@the Forgotten Gorilla's walking. Now I know what to call it: the Forgotten Bunny! -
Tiberian Twilight Revealed as Command & Conquer 4 Subtitle
cnc_sage replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Biiiiig surprise! But I guess the above excamation would be open to interpretation. I'm not sure whether to be sarcastic of this fan-****, they actually used "Tiberian", who knows, all the recent fan-**** ("Tiberium", TS-era units) leads me to suspect that EA hopes to make up for the fact that it's no longer C&C as we know it or truly be surprised that EA actually used that name. -
Renegade was a spinoff as well. So was - dare I say it - Sole Survivor. And they both had the signature golden "Command and Conquer" in the title. You seem to be inferring that "Tiberium" was never meant to be canon.
-
Hopefully they'll cut down on the heat distortion. IMHO it was exhagerated in TW.
-
Is it just me, or are those Zone Troopers wearing those old white football helmets from before their visual change? If you look closely.
-
It's actually looks a bit streamlined, but it dosen't look like a stealth tank. Could work as a regular MLRS. EA is mocking us if they think they could pass that as a stealth tank.

Read the news on Gamepolitics, boy said he learned by watching his mom.

What a nice way of ending the Tiberian universe... by uprooting the core gameplay.
-
Well, I don't see any cannon, so it's hiding under that abdomen or something? Or maybe it's front mandibles do a Kamehameha ( ), while the rear mandibles brace the vehicle? But I still hope it's just a mobile stealth generator

Something Else > Tiberium Something > Tiberian Something
cnc_sage replied to Malevolence's topic in Tiberian Twilight
I too prefer the adjective form. "Tiberian ..." sounds better, well at least to me. Who knows, maybe what I said is true, or Apoc is filtering out the sheer number of "Tiberian Twilight" submissions . What are the contest criteria again? -
I hear it's some sort of artillery. I think that's ridiculous. What do they shoot? How do they shoot??

Something Else > Tiberium Something > Tiberian Something
cnc_sage replied to Malevolence's topic in Tiberian Twilight
Well, apparently their wanting to attract noobs to the franchise is working. -
Another CD key? As in one different than what I already have?
-
Hover MLRS still reminds me of Ordos Laser Tank(not really a bad thing) Defence crawler looks very barebones. No onboard defences, but I guess the turrets it builds fill that role. No cranes or other proper construction in sight; just a trapdoor. My guess: at least defence class Nod may use something like the Japanese nanocore system in RA3 for basebuilding. BTW, what are those mandible-tanks in the second shot supposed to be?
-
I don't think those are the official names, but a lot of them are good names.

Of course I want a jukebox. So if there's a song I really like, I can switch to that one. Or, they can at least take a cue from Petroglyph. I hear there's a jukebox mode on Universe at War that lets you listen to the full songs rather than dynamically switch between them like an AI DJ.
