then how would that explain that there is no noise with the way i have it set up now? (hdmi to tv) is it because its digital?

just a hunch. its 650w and that isnt the original case psu. but it could be my gpu or cpu, when things load the noise changes.

dude my story isn't really a story. my computer got raped by microsoft and ever since then things have never been the same between us.

lol- medieval times sword attached- my old pc. was attached, not anymore.nothing to do with the sound sub-yes thats my trusty subwoofer with the satellite speakers. the other pc is the one in use mainly girl on screen isnt nude the wires next to the sub should be sorted out? as in organized or? i dont see a problem with how it is why would all the power cords be on the same socket? i have one socket with a surge protector which my new pc is included on. the other sockets are my old pc, my tv, and my xbox. maybe since the tv isnt on the same socket that is the source of the noise? EDIT:tried putting the TV on the surge protector that my PC is on. made no difference.

its not the speakers. the noise is with headphones too.and i tried the front jack too, same thing.. ill take pictures of the back of my tv and back of my PC...here is the pic from the other thread...

ok so the case fan does not effect the noise. it may be the cpu or the gpu...hmmm i need help maybe i should contact the build site

yea but i cannot figure out where this noise is coming from and how to get rid of it. later im going to try and turn down my fan speed see if that does anything to the noise...

maybe this is a eureka, but i do not have a sound card. my audio is off my MoBo. maybe this is the source of the interference. i will soon test my headphones with my case fan turned down....

i got the joke ... but ill have to get back to you on those type of details. im assuming its all standard stuff, and the jacks where the noise is found are RCA jacks. regular audio cable jacks. like i said my monitor is my tv and is hooked up via HDMI, the reason i think its to do with power. EDIT 60hz 30watts...subwoofer with two satellites. right now they are hooked up to my tv via an RCA Left & Right spitter cable.

my speakers are hooked up to my TV because: a) the noise is there when they are hooked up to my PC, and with the speakers hooked to the TV they work with my cable provider and xbox. funny thing is when i have to use my headphones at night i have to switch default playback devices. this isnt such a problem though because my audio doesnt disappear like it does if i change TV output sources. my PC is near my 32in LCD. a few feet to the left is my older PC, cable box, and Xbox. i posted a pic in my "PC Build" topic if you wanna see. the PC all the way to the right is my new one, the one with the wierd noise. the noise isnt present with the way i have it hooked up with my TV. i have it hooked up with an HDMI and i think this is why there is no noise. this makes me think it's something to do with power.

no, but i was considering that. it may solve the problem and in my room i cannot use speakers at night so having wireless USB headphones would be great. the sound is similar to how an airplane's engines sound from inside. hard to describe, and i doubt i can fix it without making a hardware adjustment to my pc build. my dad hypothesized that it is from a difference in power (voltage or watts i duno). EDIT: also, my computer is connected to my TV (HDMI). when i change the source with my PC on to maybe the TV, and back to my PC, the audio is gone until a restart.

first it was windows error 80070424, then microsoft helped me but its now 80070002. right now im up to renaming the backup folder as my microsoft assistant tells me. first try i didnt have permission to rename it but the assistant just sent me new instructions on how else to do so. when i start the computer, i get a "please wait" before the username screen comes up. when i sign in, i get "system event notification service" could not be started bubble in my taskbar. and my halo 2 cannot be played because my windows live cannot be updated. i get xlive.msi or something is missing. lets hope this works now, ill let you know.. EDIT: didnt work. have to try an in-place upgrade again and screen capture any errors..

i have not tried that, good idea . ill start the pc with my headphones plugged in and let you know. the noise is like the humming from speakers that's volume is really loud but no audio being played, understand? yet, this sound is there regardless the volume.

speakers and headphones both have this noise. you want more detail about the noise or??

so, i finally got a cat5 wire into my room and am connected! my room feels almost complete. thing is, my Windows update is corrupt and so far practically impossible to fix. lost the cd key to my farcry2, and halo2 doesnt work cuz windows live wont update properly..... other than that its great...
