What game do you think Valve will release next?
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Gaming Discussion
If they do release anything, it will probably be something new. Valve can't count to 3 anyway. -
Mozilla Firefox Official Thread

What's Firefox up to now anyway? 27 or 28? My cool ESR releases are keeping me behind. xD -
AI build more construction yards?
Doctor Destiny replied to Phúc Entetainment's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
You'd need to set the trigger weighting up higher rather than team type priority. That doesn't have much affect in RA2. At least, I've not seen it force any teams to have higher precedence but it might and I didn't notice. -
AI build more construction yards?
Doctor Destiny replied to Phúc Entetainment's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
It will require more than that... I'm pretty sure of that anyway. -
WIth RA2 and YR, it sounds like a driver issue or you need one of the graphics patchers out there. That's a common problem with that game and certain GPU chipsets.

Malwarebytes False Positive on XCC Mixer
Doctor Destiny replied to KevinLancaster's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
I run across this once and again with things like Ares and NonsensePatch, but not XCC. I use 1.21 primarily and it doesn't get flagged. Just whitelist the EXE and you should be fine. -
Why are you always such a ****?

The old design looks like ****. I don't see what everyone was clamoring for, but whatever. I don't go there so it doesn't matter.

The end of privacy as we never know it before
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Random Tree appearance, cool. Regardless, that's true but so does just about every other major homeland security organization in other first world nations, and even in some second and third world nations. Denying that fact would be sheer lunacy so this **** isn't anything new. That's not to say it's right and I am in full agreement that it needs to ****ing stop, but it's really old hat. -

The NSA misled everyone? yadontsay.jpg Seriously, if people actually believe that the NSA is monitoring all US citizens, you're ****ing loony. -
AI build more construction yards?
Doctor Destiny replied to Phúc Entetainment's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
It doesn't take much. I don't hand out code so try it first. I gave you all the information you need anyway. -
Maybe I'll download it and give it a test on a VM. It's probably not worth it though.

How Neo Should Have Ended.....
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
You're not missing anything. -
IIRC, they know why it doesn't work but it's just a slog trying to fix said problem. Maybe that was VK who knew with NPatch. Either way, save games are broken right now and won't be fixed for a long time still yet.

Terminator 5 confirmed as a reboot
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Reboots aren't bad things. It just depends on what they do with it that determines the quality. Some stories can be retold several times and still be awesome. -
AI build more construction yards?
Doctor Destiny replied to Phúc Entetainment's topic in Red Alert 2 / Yuri's Revenge Maps & Modding
It's easier to make the AI replace a lost construction yard with an AI script. That way, you don't run into the issues with the AI doubling its output and running out of room to build. Just build a script that has a task force consisting of one MCV then fire the script when the AI has less than 1 construction yard. Then stick it with a high priority so it tries to do that as fast as it can when it loses its con yard. -
Terminator 5 confirmed as a reboot
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I couldn't care less honestly. The first two were masterpieces, three was alright and four was bad. I'll stick with 1 and 2. But a reboot might not be so bad either. It remains to be seen. -
Westwood didn't know how to code while sober. That's why the game runs so poorly. It's been pretty much established that software emulation runs faster than hardware but most of the problems usually come about with the back buffer being enabled. You might try a windowed mode or a VM. I pretty much run RA2 and YR on an XP machine and have no problems at all anywhere. Not a pretty solution but it does work.
-
I think most of this can be achieved by setting VideoBackBuffer to no in ra2(md).ini.

Save games have been broken for a while. It's kind of a shame but not a deal breaker. Ares' features are more than worth losing save games.

What will you be getting this holiday season?
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Gaming Discussion
It runs on Android so no major developers or publishers are working on it. It's not going to make any waves unless it really brings something to the table besides indie games I can get on my PC. -

An OUYA? Why would you bother with that piece of ****? -
I've caused the weirdest IEs before... and I've caused my share of dumb ones like misspelling a damn weapon name. We all learn through trial and error and it's the only way to learn in this game. Though, honestly, if you want to really mod... don't use TibEd.
