The Red Alert Mod for Red Alert 3 Released
Doctor Destiny replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Pardon me for having a dissenting opinion. I'll try not to have them anymore since people always get upset when I start speaking my mind. -

Don't start jumping on the anti-Fen bandwagon like everyone else. ACK pointed out the exact problems I had with the art direction, which was the use of the SHPs, rather than cinematic models. I've never said anything else about the mod since it plays just fine and that's slightly more important. In either case, I'm just not keen on the direction and the models could use some work. Like... dropping all of that remap. This is 2011, not 1997. -
There's not a way to do that, but there is a method for forcing a set of units to come out of a specific factory without using the other. It's called the Kennel hack so if you can find that tutorial, it'll explain exactly how to do it. HOWEVER, this hack does not work with Ares since they fixed the loophole that allowed this to work.

The Next C&C on the PlayStation Vita?

Who made that video? If it really was eashortbus, this isn't even close to real. -
The Red Alert Mod for Red Alert 3 Released

It's an alternate history so the time where it takes place doesn't make as much difference because it's not based on reality. I went and checked some models and to be honest, they look like ****. I don't see Red Alert anymore, just something that kinda vaguely resembles that game we know as Red Alert. -
Can't be changed. Infantry will always be able to have three occupy a cell and vehicles always consume one, and this is wholly regardless of size.

Haha, no Windows XP. Suck on that ****.

AMD gets a new Guiness World Record

There are always tests like this with processors. I've seen things like this done on TV with liquid nitrogen, and that was done live while they were at it. This is just a "how fast can we make it go" kind of test with no real significance other than sounding mildly impressive. -

Are your computer specs up to par? Do they at least meet the minimum requirement? Are you running the latest video driver? How high are the game's graphical settings? What are are your computer specs?

I had an idea as soon as I saw the title. Just unblocking the video confirmed my idea. ............. Dragonforce - The Last Journey Home [ultra Beatdown]

Too bad it requires origin. No BF3 for me.

Deus Ex virtual memory error
Doctor Destiny replied to PurpleGaga27's topic in Tech Discussion & Support
When I find this error referenced, it's usually accompanied by The Nameless Mod. I'm going to say the mod is part of the problem since people are removing it and having DX work fine again. The only other suggestion I've found is to set your page file to static so it's one size at all times. -
http://in.ibtimes.com/articles/204040/2011...cy-invasion.htm Yep. No joke. EA is back at the top of companies to hate for being assholes.

It reminds me of Twisted Metal... which is a damn good thing.

EA'S Origin Service: Serious Breach of Privacy

And this is why EA, and other companies, get away with their bull****. Apathy is probably the worst approach to anything. -
EA'S Origin Service: Serious Breach of Privacy
Doctor Destiny replied to Doctor Destiny's topic in Gaming Discussion
Microsoft takes a snapshot of the hardware profile to build the licensing data that identifies your license. That's why changing a major component requires a reactivation. Origin, on the other hand, is actively tracking what you install and uninstall application wise, among other things. There's far more to Origin's "service" than just taking a hardware snapshot. If I'm forced to install this ridiculous bull****, I just won't buy any more games. -

Steam doesn't spy on anything but hardware as far as I know. Pretty sure Valve doesn't track anything else. -
