yah... in the later years with luke and vader they were the only two left... pretty much. or rather, the only ones in common knowledge. there were other sith... as there were other jedi that survived o.o but before then there used to be lots and lots of sith and jedi...

it's possible the main character may have been based on a real character, but they've seriously overpowered him. way too much... and it seems that vader has too many students. i've counted at least five seperate ones in various games and expanded universe stories xD so go figure y'know... but they wanted to make a decent game... so they -have- to overpower the characters. i mean if the sith just had normal one or two powers it would get boring fast. so he has to learn lots and lots of powers and be extremely skillful at all of them XD

i remember seeing a mod on SW:BF2 where that happened! XDDDD it altered the hunt thing and gave them jedi powers. it was hilariously unbalanced XDDDD can't remember for the life of me what it was called though D: i lost it... :\

I bought this for my brothers birthday about 3 weeks ago. I've played about half of it (I think) as i'm starting to re-visit locationas.

 

 

I'm currently at Raxus Prime again taking

down the Imperial Shipyard

It's a pretty good game but the combat gets repetitive after awhile. I can see why they had to boost the force powers so it felt fun. not just chucking a guy or two at a time. But totally ruining peoples days.

 

Sadly they took out the 'gore feature. You were going to be able to slice people up with the lightsaber but now it's just like a crappy baton which you hardly use directly (throwing it and slamming it into the ground is way better then going upto people and dueling them)

 

I just don't like some of the motion capture either. The walking in cutscenes kinda suck and looks a bit forced and the lipsynching is pretty horrible as well. But apart from those points the game is quite solid, runs well and well, the soundtrack is pretty awesome. Can't get enough John Williams. 'specially when you battle

proxy as Darth maul. When duel of the fates from episode 1 kicks in.

That was a pretty awesome moment in the game.

 

No doubt there'll be a 'sequel' game with similar controls. Hopefully another one set just before Order 66 would be cool. The gap between 3 and 4 has a lot of room for stories. The original series is good but it'd have limited stories for games these days. seeming there've already been over 100 star wars games to date.

 

Or, a proper Knights Of The Old Republic 3, not an MMO =(

hmmph thought so... >_> if it's out on any of the systems i have, i'm slightly tempted to get it... but there are too many other games coming out soon, and i have too many expensive things that i have to save up for :\ poopie... ;-;
