Tiberium Community Manager ZoneRunner Moves On

ZoneRunner has announced on the Official Tiberium Forums that he is stepping down as EA's Tiberium Community Manager. A replacement is already in the process of taking over, but we don't know who that is just yet. Below is ZoneRunner's final good bye message.

 

It's been an amazing couple of months, but it's time for me to move on. Today will be my last day at EA. I wanted to write to tell everyone goodbye. It's been my distinct pleasure to work with you all through the development of the Tiberium franchise, and I hope that you all continue to work closely with the development teams in the future. We're already working on getting my position replaced (I think you'll be pleased with my successor), and in the mean time, certain members of the development team will continue to monitor the forums. As I said, it's been a great few months, and I hope that our paths will cross again somewhere down the line!

 

I'll be looking for you all online when Tiberium comes out!

Unit lost!?

 

That's quite crazy really... people around the community barely got to know him... in fact us webmasters barely got to know him. But I suppose everyone has their time, and has to move on when it's up... Unfortunate really, from the e-mails and the forum posts at EA he seemed quite the genuine, down to earth guy. That's the industry for ya though, and I suppose he's done it with plenty of time before Tiberium gets too heavily into the limelight.

 

Good luck to him in his endeavours nevertheless.

Weird - I was never on the official forums - but this seems like only the second annoucement from him... hiring and firing!

He was rather active on the Official Tiberium Forums answering questions and so on, but unfortunately he never got around to visit other community forums though. I never had much interaction with him myself, then again I never really contacted at him at all now that I think about it.
