Lo-Fi Version

With being forced to rely on the low-fi version of the site, I was impressed with it's speed but surprised there was no interactivity.

 

eg. I couldn't reply to an active conversation.

 

What's it's purpose - any idea how many use it?

The Lo-Fi Version of the forums is just as the name says, a lo-fi read only environment for people with slower connections, or who simply want to read and find something quickly. If your browsing this way the only way to "interact" (post new/reply) is to click on the link where it says.....

TBO is correct, I hit my cap, so I tried it out.

 

But when I click the 'here' it brings me back to the normal 'version' - which kinda defeats the purpose.

I guess I was really wondering whether it's a feature that hasn't been coded in, or whether it was a limitation of the forum software itself.

 

It's handy as an archive, but without direct interactivity the name 'lo-fi version' comes under the EA OVER-HYPE MARKETING ploy.

 

(I'm not asking for changes. I was just curious about it.)

The Lo-Fi Version _is_ just an archive. It's there for PDAs and mobile devices basically.
