Mina Synd 0 Posted August 13, 2008 ... but the things i've asked you to code you couldn't do >.>; what i need is a program, a seperate .exe, which you can paste a webpage link into and it will allow you to choose and download anything from that page o.o jpg's, png's, wma's, swf's, flv's and so on. if you can do that it would make my life a lot easier... especially if it has a "right click in the browser to download with .exe" type thing which actually WORKS. i've seen too many flv downloading programs which just don't work :\ Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 13, 2008 That should be possible but I'm not trained in Windows Forms, just web applications. Though... I should be able to rig something up with ASP... I'll look into that. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted August 13, 2008 if you don't know forms maybe you could code it in a command screen interface then echo all the media items on the page, and if you enter the name of a media item then it will download that item Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 13, 2008 It's not user friendly and complicated to use. Far easier to make a simple webpage to do it instead. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted August 14, 2008 not really that complicated -.- people are just scared of command line maybe instead of typing the whole file name just type the number of the file in the list, not too complicated Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 14, 2008 When I say it's not user friendly I mean "not a chance in hell will I use it." Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted August 14, 2008 xD; but you'll look into it an try to make it yeah? =3 cos if it works you can bet your ass that'll be my favourite new gadget xD Share this post Link to post

mormreed 0 Posted August 15, 2008 so does that mean you can make web pages that can do what applications can? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 16, 2008 Pretty much. Only I can make it look cooler cause it's the Web. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted August 16, 2008 i'd prefer to have the downloading thing as an .exe program... as much fun as it is with websites chances are it would probably get logged somewhere what i'm downloading o.O also i just prefer downloaded applications :3 they look more fancy Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 16, 2008 I can work with Windows Forms but it's not my specialty. You're trying to make me work too hard. XD Share this post Link to post

Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 17, 2008 Be easier to skip the WinForm entirely and make it a webpage. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted August 17, 2008 well it wouldn't be called "work" if it was easy >.> please make it for me ; - ; pweaseeeee Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 42 Posted August 17, 2008 How much do you need it to do? >_> I'll see if I can even do it. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted August 18, 2008 you have to be able to put in a webpage link, then it allows you to download anything on the page o.o i've seen a few programs that kinda half work... but it HAS to be able to download flv's and swf's o.o also all video files and all picture files a bonus. and preferably not everything in a long list of stuff... maybe categories (media, picture, flash, application) etc etc so it's quicker to find o.o Share this post Link to post
