Sonic 295 Posted March 16, 2004 The stupid fan on my CPU cooler finally reached the end of its life. It was the just the standard issue heatsink and fan combo that came with the computer. For the past week I've been bothered with an annoying buzzing noise from the fan......but not anymore..... I installed one of these. Its called Vantec VA4-7245, Aeroflow 2, CPU Cooling Fan. http://www.vantecusa.com/p_va4_7245.html I'm happy with it, its very silent and its doing an even better job of cooling the CPU. Thierry 0 Posted March 16, 2004 I'm almost done for my PC. I think my Cooler is a Zalman. How much does that cost? Share this post Link to post
Rogue Leader 0 Posted March 17, 2004 That's a nice looking cooler - have you noticed a difference in your CPU temperature? Share this post Link to post

Sonic 295 Posted March 17, 2004 I'm almost done for my PC. I think my Cooler is a Zalman. How much does that cost? I paid $64.27 NZ dollars for it. The Vantec Aeroflow 2 range just arrived in NZ. That's a nice looking cooler - have you noticed a difference in your CPU temperature? Its appearance doesn't really matter. And yes I have noticed that the CPU temperature is down a few degrees. I'm just happy the annoying buzzing sound is gone Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted March 18, 2004 64 bucks? I paid for my coller only a nice 39,- euro's which is about 50, US dollars. But I finally ordered my computer and I'll have it in a week or so Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted March 18, 2004 You think thats over priced? There were cheaper ones to choose from as well as more expensive ones. Like some of the Thermaltake range. Share this post Link to post

Rogue Leader 0 Posted March 19, 2004 I've heard good things about Zalman, mainly in the noise area. I haven't had a chance to see their products myself, but a few people I know that have the VGA cooler really like them. Share this post Link to post
