BlyTwo 0 Posted November 19, 2008 (edited) I hate this game now. And my hatred for EA just multiplied by 1000x I doubt I am the only angry customer... I uninstall the game to fit halo on my tiny hard drive (20GB) and it deletes YEARS worth of work in custom maps, one of which i wasn't finished yet (Rebellion Downfall, Rebellion Intel. 3, {THE BEST ONE YET}) and it didn't say anywhere that it would delete all the custom maps and leave the profile........ If you know a way i can still get them back I will worship you as my hero for a long time!!!!!!!!! Edited November 19, 2008 by BlyTwo Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted November 19, 2008 I doubt the uninstaller removed your custom maps and stuff. Look for the C&C 3 folder in "My Documents". All your maps, saved games, replays and other data created after the install should be there. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted November 19, 2008 If you know the exact name of a map, you could run a search for it too. If it still exists, that should locate it. Back in the days of MS-DOS, I might have been able to help you if they truly are gone, but I don't know how to recover deleted files anymore. Share this post Link to post
CCHyper 3 Posted November 19, 2008 The setup has never removed my custom stuff, they have scripts to only uninstall what they installed. Share this post Link to post
BlyTwo 0 Posted November 20, 2008 (edited) it removed the maps, they are in C:/Documents and Settings/[user Name]/Application Data/C&C 3/Maps (default location) I still have everything, my saves and profile, just lost all maps I found many file restore programs and the only ones that could even find my files, i have to pay for (i got no spare money) UPDATE: WTF? they just appeared there, after a long time of fussing about... wait...AWESOME!
