Recommended Posts

ComputerAndVideoGames.com have posted a new preview of Red Alert 3: Uprising. Its your standard preview. Covering all aspects of the expansion pack. In the preview Amer Ajami, executive producer of EA Los Angeles, discusses such things as the Commander's Challenge, the new units, the Yuriko campaign and more. Plus there are 2 brand new screen shots. Here's a quick sample from the preview.

"In almost every C&C game there's been a set of missions that have been referred to as commando missions where you don't really have an option to build the units, all you have are a commando unit or a small subset of units that you have to survive as you make your way through the enemy battlefield," said Ajami.

"The entire Yuriko campaign is essentially a commando mission. The user interface looks very different - you have no radar, no build menu, all you have is this small piece of UI at the bottom [of the screen] which has four buttons which correspond to your 1,2 3 and 4 keyboard buttons, each representing one of Yuriko's powers.

"As you progress through the campaign you'll discover Yuriko's abilities and in doing so fill out her tech tree, and as you do you'll replace existing powers with new ones."

There are about 20 powers for Yuriko to acquire, "most of which are expanded or better versions of the existing powers she already has", and they're unlocked by accessing computer terminals throughout the campaign.

Check out the full preview right here.

I just hope the campaigns aren't rushed, or having a stale storyline. Btw i noticed the desolator in the new screenshot, looks really funny.
