Ra2 strEdit?

Recommended Posts

I have just downloaded Ra2 StrEdit and i have made a new csf file and put it into my game but when the game loads, every single bit of writing in the main screen has 'missing GUI' in front of it and crashes when i start a new game. Maybe a made the file wrong?

Thanks in advance

From your description, it sounds like you made your changes into the Red Alert 2 string table that comes with the editor and then saved it into Yuri's Revenge. Inform me if this is incorrect.

By doing so, you would have successfully deleted the Yuri's Revenge string table. You would need to get it back, which can be a nuisance. Either you could get a replacement default string table from someone or you will have to reinstall both RA2 and YR to rewrite it. Or, if there is another method, you can try that too, but since I can't think of any, I can't explain what it is.

If this is your problem and solution, for future reference, you must load the string table from your RA2 folder, not the one the editor comes with.
