look... if you want to know stragities of using crazy ivan, go to red alert 2/ yuri's revenge discussion... if your changing ivan, here is where you post it... if it is stragities... easy... have a decoy army, send in the ivan, and blow things up.

um yeah sorry, i meant that since i cannot make my crazy ivan swim i am looking for alternative uses than him going slowly trumbling into a base, if he even gets there, see;

the seal is good at killing men, and its flaw is being able to be controlled (yuri)and tanks kill him too swiftly, but he has a usefull property unlike a crazy ivan which has to get close to its target etc, i am sure i dont need to explain the rest u get the idea,

since crazy ivan has no real usefullness in my games anyway, how have you lot made him be something u can use in the battle,

like allow him to swim was one idea to have an edge

lol sorry

im lookin into makin his explosions 2x as strong.. so then maybe it can kill tanks faster... but ivan isnt that bad, you cant exactly throw dynamite on a guy from long distance so they made the game more realistic by having him walk up to the guy to doit.... tanya has to do the same thing with c4

hhhmm i suppose i just keep on trying different ideas and none really seem to work he is either too powerfull or whey too pathetic for his might as well be a walking barrel, is it wise to actually lose him from the game?

if so is it as simple as deleating (i doubt) ?

Improving Crazy Ivan:

- better armor

- better speed

- auto detonation on bombs

- shorter fuse time

- uncrushable

- non suicidal in an IFV

More idea's...

-Appear like the enemy. (Like Spy)

-Toss the sticks of dynamite farther

-Another weapon like the MP5 for it's primary

-Vehicle Hijacker

Stinger, those would make Ivan too good. He's needs some improvements but not so that he's unbalanced. He needs no disgusing or hijacking abilities. Then you're just making him a lame ass Allied unit.

Lol... i agree with fenring... i think that all you need is:

-improve the speed

-uncrushable

-no death weapon (kills you when enemy has snipers)

-faster denotion time or auto (auto is better)

-more health

-promotion if you want

-farther bomb set range

and i think that should do... i personally dont use crazy ivan as a direct offensive unit. more of a indirect, using terrorists in flak trak, ship them in, see them blow. otherwise, i prefer using chrono ivan.

thank you you lot, its all right to adjust the range on the weapon, and how would you go about making the bomb throwable, isnt the projectile invisable? and if he can throw the bomb can it be as indirect like the flak weapon, to miss sometimes?

happy easter guys

Easy to make the bomb throwable... just the image is hard. you need to make a projectille that has the "stick of bomb" as the image and mound it on the weapon. just make it inaccurate in the projectille section. so now whenever it is thrown, it might miss, but the explosion will most likely hit the target anyways.

He should also have the ability to teleport and blow up anything near him would make the Ivan unit a little unbalance. :)

I'm just shooting idea's out there. The Ivan is good as he is. Giving the auto detonation on bombs makes the engineer's ability to defuse them pointless. Did not know what kind of talents Beavis wanted. I'll go hide under a rock now. :(

HA sorry stinger, seeing that u main three or four guys are far supieror to my skills in editing this game i thaught u had made many different versions of the ivan, still having problems though, i cannot find the image of the bomb he uses to throw, like the one ivan plants, and when ivan throws the damm bomb he will only destroy buildings (exp repair huts)

and doesnt even touch units, the bomb will fly but not blow ?

Guest Kudos

in my modded map i gave crazy ivan as my primary:makeupkit and secondary: ivanbomber you can nolonger strap bombs to inf but you can disguise yourself as enemy troops and get into enemy base and blow lots of things up. it works even better against the comp coz they dont retalliate lol. i also made him cheaper because he isnt worth 600

heh all good stuff, ok ive managed to make the guy lob an image of the 120mm tank shell right,

i cant find an image on the ivanbomb anywhere so firstly:

is there away of imorting an image of the plated bomb? if not specifically into TibEd?

secondly:and the scatter thing i cant remember how to get the image to blow up when the guy lobs the bomb and missed the the target,

oh yeah is there absolutly possatively no practicle way to get him to swim at all!

Ivan can swim. That's easy. You have to edit the SHP and include the swim frames on the sequence. Very easy stuff.

you don't need to... just make it so that it impacts like anyother weapons... it shouldn't be so hard... but there is no more of the timer... just throw and blow...
