No Major C&C Announcements Planned for E3

It has been confirmed by community manager APOC on Twitter that we will not be seeing any major Command & Conquer announcements concerning the future of the franchise at this year's E3. The only Command & Conquer news that is E3 related is that Red Alert has been confirmed for iPhone. So if you had hopes of a big E3 announcement of something like Command & Conquer 4, Generals 2 or another game set in the Command & Conquer universe, you will just have to wait. Speculation is that something might be announced later in 2009.

Well that's kinda sad to hear. Besides EALA still have some work to do on the RA3 and KW patches especially the remains of the art assets of RA3 and possibly KW.

I was looking at the ads on the various websites this week, and it dawned on me, we weren't expecting any news. So it was kinda sad but kinda expected to hear the confirmation above.

 

Strike that, sad is not right. Hopefully this means they can work on their existing IP's.

I believed this period is the most boring bit, kind of reminded me back in the ZH-C&C3 hiatus, the community will be kinda be in hibernation mode, with little news and stuff except for some new game mods, fan-made maps, and some online competition news.

 

For now however, it is time to sleep. Just wake me up when the next big earth shattering C&C updates arrive.
