RA2 campaign runs too fast...

Any way to slow down the campaigns? I have a 2GHz system with XP. I don't seem to be able to slow down any of the missions in the campaigns. :shock:

Sorry, but they are set to play at normal speed.

 

You would need to changed the games rules in the General Section of the INI.files.

there must be a way to change the .ini files so you have a game speed setting in single player and skirmish...

There isn't I've tried... the game, no matter what computer it's on is way to fast.. I eventually bit my tongue and played RA2 from beginning to end just so I could see the end... I've done it once, and I'm am damn well not doing it again... I hated playing RA2 unless it was for Skirmish and online games, they were slower...

 

I just don't know what Westwood were trying to achieve by having it that fast in the first place :?

yeah, like an allied tank can cover the length of an average map in like, 30 seconds, and a chronosphere/iron curtain takes 3:30 to recharge not 7:00 and a nuke/weather device takes 5:00 minutes not 10:00

Heck if anything I think the game is too slow. Specially Skirmishs.

You can try changing the speed of the game in the options menu. On a powerful computer the game will likely run too fast for some.

Yeah 5 minutes for the super weapons - What's the problem?

I haven't had a tank go that fast though. Vehicles in generals, now that's s l o w. A real life scorpian tank is bloody fast and should be doing rings around all the other tracked vehicles.

 

You gotta be good to beat RA2 but I found only a hadful of missions to be difficult
