Crimson Dawn Webpage is out!! Come see the new mars terrain!

It been a long time since I've been on the boards; however Crimson Dawn is alive and well. I have a full teaser for you guys (31 mb, 1:08min) which is all CGI future trailers will also include screen shots this however does not. Also I have some sneek peeks at some of the new models hope you enjoy.

 

PS: The New Webpage is on its way I will give the url when I'm finished coding it. Also The models below are 800poly to 1.2k poly if anyone wants to know. Also these are modled and skinned by me alone.

This is being designed to run indpendant of Generals it really is not going to operate as a mod at all. I'm completing the orginal story of TD and TS, TF. Since it looks like it will never come back from EA.

 

In real life I'm a software engineer (aka programmer) but I have a passion for CnC, graphics, etc. So I programming this as a new game. What you see above is just a small portion of what is actully done. If you watch the trailer you will see the expected compltion date for it.

 

Info on Crimson Dawn:

 

As far as what is included: There are about 80-90 units/suctors plant for each team.

 

The game will have new map types including Tiberium filled Earth, mars, the moon, and I'm still working on space aka space battles may be possible.

 

The game will now have full CGI movies between every level (no more low res ingame crap) also there will be full campainse for Nod and UDI(GDI but Univerail Defence instead)

 

 

There will be everything you can imagain with the exception of a navy since with the units that are here would be obsolete.

 

There will be space cuseriers, space carriers (like aircraft carrier but it flys), 3 different types of fighter crafts and 1-2 types of bombers per team.

 

I have created new types of units that never exited in Generals such as:

 

Burrowing units: thats right they move underground and this is already working and has been test.

 

Transforming units: Yep every wanted a mech that can turn into a frighter craft well it here.

 

Forcefields: Ever wish CnC had these well they do now not only for curtian units but for a base as well/ a force field generator ( it can protect about 8-10 building for a curtain amount of damge then it will have to recharge again before it can go back up.)

 

Simply put it is it own new game nothing of generals including code/graphics/sound/icons/mouse icons/gui (aka menus) will be the same.

 

and that is just the start. I working on coding a webpage up where I will give alot more including what the final story is many more shoots of units and in-game screnes will be coming also. So that should be enough info for now. If you have questions Just ask.

Will it be finished by then (2005)?

The game uses the Generals Engine, right?

Wouldnt SDI be a better name for the new GDI

 

Solar Defence Initiative, because they surely can't defend the whole universe!

Hard to say I'm going to use new feature to add to want the old CnC could have been. Like then General rewards I might change how that whole system works there has been talk to allowing mercearies throught that system etc there are alot of possiblity to play around with.

 

But it really is going to be new is just about everything you can think of, the teams will Be UDI(GDI but universal insted) and NOD they are similar. It will take place of different planets earth is still included. The movies are going to be alike westwood had them no more ingame like generals all CGI high res. But as far as game play I will be using burrow, a new thing calles Zero Spaces simlar to chroshifing but better, old school choroshif, forcefields(no CnC game I know have had these), space craft and a slue of new weapons never before used in CnC.

I went through that name possiblity maybe I should have a poll for it there were many different names, but it has to change from GDI since other planets are involved I'll think about it. The Name is not set in stone yet.

I kinda got the Idea from TS I looked at that and thougth how to make it more impressive so thats out that came about. if you have an old TS CD you take compare the two logos

FYI: Ingame shots should be coming around May 7-15 or so. I'm going to put alot of them in to the trailer so that people can see I'm not enhaning my graphics such things as, forcefields, Burrowing units, Choroshifting, Zerospace, lenflares, laser and more.

Sounds and looks like a really cool mod. Keep up the hardwork. Lets hope more modders will become interested and help you make it so the release date is alot sooner.

You have no idea it took hours to get his joints to work the write way.

 

I also welcome other modeler however most people can not make models at the level I require for this mod so to come by someone that can skinn and model real well is very rare. But I do have a team of people helping me just not with the modeling they will do the AI scripting and mappes. you may have heard of them... RVMECH, TunnaKiller. RV used to work for EA he did the AI and made alot of the maps they have, tunnakiller was the frist worldwide map maker contest winner. SO I have them and I will get other for stuff but all the code and models will be made and skinned and coded by me.

Yah it will complete the full tiberium story and finaly give it a finish it picks of after TS FS.

I wonder how many versions there will be of the Tiberium and how that will look

in TS there were actually 4 tiberiums

2 were green and 2 were blue, you couldn't see the difference, but the money was diffrent
