Gazdude 0 Posted April 21, 2004 If your talking about the types of tiberium then there are 5 Green > Blue > Red > Black > White $less --------------------------- $More But you really only see the green and blue Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted April 21, 2004 Really? in TS? Didn't know, I mostly played the skirmishes... I only found out about there being 4 types with tibed... Share this post Link to post
General GideonX 0 Posted April 21, 2004 Actully Crimson Dawn will have 2 main types green tiberium and white titerum (this is based of the fact that tiberium progress through time and the finial stage of tiberium will be titerium which is a pure energy crystal) this crytal ingame will glow and have engery partical emissions coming of the crystals, it should look very nice when it is all done. General GideonX 0 Posted April 22, 2004 The obelisk on TD was better than the obelisk on TS will CD have a better one? will it still have the same destructive power? Actully it will be the strongest out of all of them. I plan to make the Monolith of light destory at lest 1 unit of mid to uppermid strenth and 2-3 units of low strength around it , it will be a very powerful. Share this post Link to post

Thierry 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Uhmm. I've go Gmax now and I'll find out how to draw/design a tank. But I don't know how to add it to Generals/ZH. Do you know how to do so? Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Gideon's probably using 3ds Max Making the model and animating its easy, skinning is the hardest thing to do Share this post Link to post
General GideonX 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Uhmm. I've go Gmax now and I'll find out how to draw/design a tank. But I don't know how to add it to Generals/ZH. Do you know how to do so? Of course I do! thats cake and I have to use both 3Dmax and gmax other wise I can not do transparent or additive effects on models and particals. And skinning is the hard part if you do not know how to do it. As for you question you need to know how to code the ini's to get them in you will need some sort of an extractor such as final big XCC utilites or the like. If you do not have photo shop or the liking good luck skinning. Once you have extraced the ini files to your general/zero hour folder under data/ini/... find the following FactionUnit.ini(add code in here for the tank such as the model used life etc) in data/ini/object you will also need"CommandButton.ini" create the button that builds the unit here and link it to the new tank you made, and finaly you need "CommandSet.ini" which you add the button you made in CommandButton to what ever building you want to have build it aka the warfactory. PS(If you do not know how to code this will take you a long time to do.) Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Well i dunno about Thierry but thats sorted it all out for me! Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Is ther a FAT32 (98,Me) version of Adobe Photoshop? Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Don't know. And GideonX. Could I also use Tibed2 to do the ini part, such as health and weapon. blablabla And I don't have 3dmax. But I'm kinda new to all of this, but eager to build a few new units. And how do you add voices? Share this post Link to post
osey 2003 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Game manufacturers like EA record voices etc in a recording studio im not sure if you could do such a thing with a computer microphone but yet again ask Gideon  Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted April 25, 2004 Well, Gideon? And if I only use Gmax, can I then make a bit a good tank? Do you have to make a separate file for the turret? Share this post Link to post
osey 2003 0 Posted April 25, 2004 u can make ur tank whatever way u want thats easy and so are the animations the hardest part is the skinning (uv wrap) but make sure when ur making ur models to keep the polygon count as low as possible as too many can slow the game down Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted April 25, 2004 UVW Wrap/map doesn't seem that hard, its making the skins that is hard, i need to find a good skin maker, im hoping Adobe Photoshop is what im looking for  Share this post Link to post
Thierry 0 Posted April 26, 2004 Oh yes. Adobe is very good. I have the latest version. 8.0 CS. But with skinning you mean to give the tank the outside color. (the skin of the tank). Do you also have to make a skin of the same tank but then a damaged version? Share this post Link to post
