Gallery access from Forums?

Recommended Posts

In the last couple of days, I've found myself drifting to our gallery for a source image or two. But I can't seem to find a direct link from the forums to the gallery, unless I click an existing image from someone's post.

Is this true, or am I missing the obvious link somewhere already?

If there is no link - is it possible to create one?

Is there anyway to add keywords or other meaningful descriptions to the images other than "screenshot67" ??? (ignoring the obvious 'I can't be bothered' response to my question.)

There is no direct access from the Forums to the Gallery. But I can add it. Until then the only way it use the Gallery link (main menu bar) on http://www.cncnz.com.

Keywords? as in searching the gallery? Try this http://www.cncnz.com/gallery/search.php

Yeah its possible to add titles and descriptions to images. Some of them have titles and descriptions but a lot of images don't. Only an admin can add them though. And with 1819 files in 57 albums and 12 categories is big job going through adding them all.

I'm not sure, is it called meta data, but that would be tremendously useful thing to do.

EDIT: Oops I meant to say, it's something at least you can try to do when adding new pictures. Surely we have a staff guy who can do that? Can you not deputize someone temporarily to do it?

On the "cncnzBlueRes" skin for the forum the top nav bar has been changed just a little bit. You can now jump back to the main, switch to the Gallery or Download section using the links on the left. All forum specific tools and features like the Rules & Guidelines, Calendar, Members, Search, Help now all located on the right.

Thanks, the new gallery link is very useful, especially more updates coming for the new C&C4.
