Best Version of C&C Ending Credits Song

Recommended Posts

This is the best, most clear full version of I AM - Destructible Times I've ever heard. Frank Klepacki used this song during the ending credits for the original C&C. This is the full song complete with lyrics.

If you ever played Command & Conquer and won the game as the Nod side, you may recognize this song. At the time C&C was under development, Frank Klepacki was the musical director for Westwood studios and he presented them with this song and a proposal to use it in the final version. They listened, liked it, and put it on. It turned out to be one of our most popular songs off the CD and live. And it got regular local radio airplay. Enjoy!

Lyrics:

Fire and riots are written on pages of life

Armies of hatred that no longer have civil rights

Yeah I

I live off the feeding of lies

Oh and I

I live in destructible times

Oh cant you hold a candle in the wind

And see that times are changing

Run to the churches and exorcise all of the brothers

Holy hostage church bound to the Mother

Yeah I

Corrupted and ravaged her mind

Oh and I

I live in destructible times

Oh cant you hold a candle in the wind

And see that times are changing

Changing

I did my time but nothing came easy

I guess I wasted my time

Ill live my life just a little bit fuller before I die

Die

I found that version a couple of weeks ago. It's pretty awesome.

And finally I know what the lyrics are :)

Good stuff.

Thanks for sharing that with us Nyerguds. Maybe you could have posted it ages ago too? :P

Do you happen to have a lossless version too? I got an 192-kbps MP3 from the uploader of that video.

lol... how about... you save the video out of your browser cache and use RAD Video Tools to extract the music? I don't need any websites for that :P
