Nmenth 291 Posted July 3, 2010 Officially confused, I am. In my mod, each side will have their own versions of the spy, the unit shps are not done yet, but I wanted to include temporary placeholders. The only changes I made were these: I duplicated the spy.shp twice and renamed the clones grua.shp and mole.shp. In the Artmd.ini I cloned the [sPY] and renamed it to [GRUA] and [MOLE] with only cameos changed: [GRUA] Cameo=gruaicon ; (the new cameo shps are done) [MOLE] Cameo=moleicon In the Rulesmd.ini I cloned the [sPY] and renamed them to [GRUA] and [MOLE] with these changes: [sPY] RequiredHouses=British,French,Germans,Americans,Alliance [GRUA] Prerequisite=NAHAND,NATECH Owner=Russians,Confederation,Africans,Arabs RequiredHouses=Russians,Confederation,Africans,Arabs [MOLE] Prerequisite=YABRCK,YATECH Owner=YuriCountry RequiredHouses=YuriCountry That is it. As they are only placeholders, I made absolutely no other adjustments. Nevertheless, the two new spies don't even show up as an option to train (the [sPY] still works fine). I have of course rechecked everything's spelling. I don't get it... why don't they work? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted July 3, 2010 Did you add them to the [infantryTypes] list? Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted July 3, 2010 D'oh! @#$%&, can't believe I forgot to do that... That's what happens when you code in a hurry I guess. Share this post Link to post

Nmenth 291 Posted July 5, 2010 Meh... I had a friend over and I wanted to quickly enable them so he could use spies with all sides. I figured since I was eventually going to add new ones, it made more sense to make placeholders rather than just make the Allied one available to all. Unfortunately, because I was in a hurry, he never got to play with them anyway... as I missed one of the most important codes of all... Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted July 5, 2010 A quick double check or a checklist helps immensely. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted July 7, 2010 Ah yes, checklists... I had one of those once... never really used it. Share this post Link to post
