General Leang 0 Posted May 28, 2004 Yeah, I enjoy it, even if some of it messes with your mind. I do not think I would be brave enough to watch something like Grave of the Fireflies. Most of the anime I have comes from the local shops and rentals, and surprisingly I haven't seen some of the popular ones like Gundam or Ranma. I also went to an anime club a few times. What ones have I seen? Some include Evangelion, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Initial D, You're Under Arrest!, Trigun, Proton, Big O, Pokemon, Sailormoon, Robotech, Patlabour, JinrohWolf Brigade, Cowboy Bebop, Those Who Hunt Elves, Outlaw Star, Irresponsible Captain Tyler, Vandread, Gunsmith Cats, DarkstalkersVampire Savior, Lupin, Tenchi, Street Fighter, Astro Boy (original and remake), Tank Police, Mad Bull, Ninja Scroll, Kei, Tekken, Jubei Chan, Burn Up and Dirty Pair. I was interested in some form of pay TV, but someone phoned about it and they had a horrid attitude, so I was put off it. I still like to get anime when I can, especially DVDs with audio commentaries. Death: Rebirth is worth seeing just for how Amanda Winn acts in it. Share this post Link to post

General Leang 0 Posted May 30, 2004 well gazdude is right anime isnt music...there shows WITH music. Yes, I was confused about that as well. Anime is not music. It is animation, typically Japanese, that favors stories which feature angst or tragedy. Two orphoned kids during World War Two in Grave of the Fireflies, a doomed romance in Jinroh and the apocalypse in Evangelion. any1 here played zone of the enders/zone of the enders 2nd runner? Yes, I own it. I was expecting Leo to be voiced by Spike Spencer. But seriously it is a good game. So is Kessen. And as far as music in video games, Metal Gear has good music. So do a lot of others, but I did enjoy the nostalgia of hearing songs such as Self Control or Cum On Feel The Noise in Vice City. Share this post Link to post
Gazdude 0 Posted May 30, 2004 Yeh I discovered Halo after I got an XBOX lol, it came with it... Share this post Link to post

chickendippers 1 Posted May 30, 2004 This months edition of CVG (www.computerandvideogames.com) say that SC3 is better than MGS3 Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 31, 2004 Yeah Splinter Cell was pretty cool. What is MGS3? Isn't it that snake eater one? Or the liberty sons one? Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted May 31, 2004 Sons of Liberty is Metal Gear Solid 2, and takes place after eliminating the terrorists on Shadow Moses Island. The basic storyline is that Metal Gear had become common, and the US Marines are transporting a new one intended to stop the others when the ship MG Ray is being transported on is hijacked. Snake Eater is the new Metal Gear due this year, and supposedly sends Snake back to Vietnam fighting in the jungles. It is rumoured that the character is not Snake, but Big Boss, who was your commander in the first Metal Gear, enemy in the second, and his corpse part of the terrorist's demands (so they can conduct gene therapy in order to create super soldiers) in Solid. The subtitle Snake Eater has a double meaning. As well as having to eat animals such as snakes in order to survive (and it probably being Snake doing the eating) snake eaters is what they call special forces like Snake is. Luk3us 63 Posted May 31, 2004 Yeah well I already knew all that. But how can they say www.computerandvideogames.com) that SC3 is better than MGS3 if it isn't even out yet? Share this post Link to post
