Recommended Posts

The Vortex developers of the Vortex Mod for Zero Hour have posted a big update covering the month of January. Many new screen shots and models have been posted as well, featuring the latest additions to the mod for both the GDI and Nod sides such as, the new GDI Control Node, the redesigned GDI Mammoth Mk III, Nod Naval Seeker, the powerful Nod Thermo Wave Tank and much more. Below are some samples.

Renders are one thing, but ingame is another.

This is pretty interesting.

Not true. Generals is very moddable. I remember playing Red Alert 3: The Third War mod for Zero Hour and for most of the time I lost the feeling that it actually was Generals, however buggy, unbalanced and typo-easy the mod was.

Generals doesn't remain Generals. Losing the feeling that you're playing it depends on how well you do your job. And from what I see of Vortex so far, it will give me a REALLY good reason to install the game :P

thanks ,i didn't mean it is not that moddable after all one of the reasons made me mod it is that ,but i was saing that whatever is done to it the graphics and ingame details wont be as the recent games like ra3 and tw ,i belived he ment that point by saing ingame ss is another thing than the renders unless there is missunderstanding

I actually still had the feeling I was playing Generals when I was playing that mod :P

No misunderstanding - you got me right. A sexy render is no indication of what the engine can actually do... but to clarify, I did like what I saw ingame.
