If you're reading this, it means your now viewing CNCNZ.com from our new server, officially called "Dobby". This is a much more powerful server, which opens the door to some important upgrades and updates that have been somewhat planned for a while now. The full server specifications can be found here. Is the server name "Dobby" named after a Harry Potter character? Some users at Revora forums have already commented on that part.

The servers from Revora are always being named after Harry Porter characters (i.e.: Dobby, Nagini, Fawkes, ecept for Icetex).

So with the site a new server how does everyone find the speed? Faster than before? About the same?

 

In case you didn't know the old server was based in Dallas, TX, USA. The new one is in Germany I think.

Yea, Nagini was located in Dallas, Texas (USA). This one is in Frankfurt, Gemany.

 

This new server is much, much faster than the previous one... at least, the difference is noticeable here, although Nagini's ping is lower than Dobby here (according to the ping tool from dos prompt).

Well, I'm not noticing if it's faster or not, but I am noticing that it's not slower, so that's a good sign.
