I'm buying a new PC 1. of July.

Thing is that I'm not sure about the graphics card that comes with it.

I have been an ATI Radeon user for as long as I've been able to buy my own computers. I don't have any experience with the brand GIGABYTE, although I have faith in Nvidia to deliver power and quality.

Any of you have experience with GIGABYTE cards or this one in specific?

Should I get this one or look for further?

It is not a common card where do I live. But since it is a geForce based, it should do it, and very well :P

Well... Isn't better you wait for the new DirectX 11.1 that will come with Windows 8, and buy a card compatible with it?

Gigabyte makes top notch products. I've used their mainboards in the past and I highly recommend them and the same goes for their GPUs. However, for GPUs, I recommend EVGA above all else but PNY makes damn fine products as well. I've had two PNY cards in the past. One is five years old and it runs like a champion. Though, really, you cannot go wrong with a Gigabyte. Actually, my next GPU is going to be a Zotac. We'll see how that goes.

Okay thanks. I was just eerie about getting a gigabyte card without knowing anyone ( amongst my gamer circle ) using one or having experience with it.

I just hope it'll run current gen and next gen games like a dream, since it's quite pricey compared to what I usually pay.

I could wait, but it's a pain waiting. Especially since I'm barely able to run high GPU demanding games at the moment.

Take a look at this:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Prescott 3.06ghz

1GB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS

I am in no condition of waiting, but i'm still waiting to the end of this year to take a look for something that really rocks! :P

If you get a GTX680, it should run even Battlefield 3 and Generals 2 without an issue. Long as your CPU and RAM aren't too old, you should have no trouble at all. Hell, even my 460 can muscle through everything I've thrown at it so a 680? Hell yeah.

Yeah I like Gigabyte products their mobos are nice. Most Gigabyte cards are usually overclocked to give a bit more juice.

A GTX680 is pretty high end. :o

If he said 690, I would agree but a single 680 is a nice setup and it'll run for a good long time.
