Black Mesa mod for HL2 Interview

Recommended Posts

I know it's more than a month late about this, but I found this article regarding the latest interviews of Black Mesa, the HL1 remake mod for Half-Life 2.

Interview:

and

2009 was the year many people believed Black Mesa was going to be released but it failed to meet the deadline and now three years later it came up with some....... more outdated screenshots. The biggest part I am concerned is the new voices being used on the remake instead of using the original HL voices. The gameplay, story, environment and quality will be there, but not the aging graphic engine.

My guess is that the Black Mesa mod for HL2 isn't going to be released until Half-Life 3 is released (not for another several years). By that time, more than a dozen dominating Call of Duty games over a decade will be released long before another new Half-Life madness will be there.

Who says there's even going to be a Half-Life 3?

I believe the Half-Life and the Call of Duty franchises attracts two very different types of people. So They probably won't come in the way of one an other.

Black Mesa will be done when it's done.
