Guest MachineDoctor Posted October 8, 2003 My next holiday is @ Christmas. In the US it's Thanksgiving (except for the areas of the country that celebrate Columbus Day (next Monday). How's this for a Holiday: In Puerto Rico, the Holiday season starts the week before Christmas and lasts until the middle of January. Not everyone is off BUT everything is scaled down. The reasons for this extended Holiday is that Christmas in Puerto Rico is secondary to Three Kings's Day (the Epiphany). After that there are two local (Puerto Ricano) holidays at the beginning of the next 2 weeks following Three King's Day. Share this post Link to post
