error playing custom matches

Recommended Posts

every time I try to start a custom match (doesn't matter whether I host or if I join other's games), I can't connect to the other players. After a while, it'd tell me that "an internal error has occurred...."

I used Windows XP SP3. I also tried Windows 7 and Windows 8.

I tried both the download from Origin and that from XWIS.com. Neither works.

Here's the except.txt file:

I'd examine the except but it's crashing outside RA2's normal range. Have you tried using Windows 98/ME compatibility yet? If that doesn't work, test your RAM with something like memtest86.

I had same problem with Tiberian Sun. It encounters when you desynch to other players while downloading the map. Mostly due to connection failures. Try to find official map games or predownload the unofficial ones and put them in Download folder in RA2 directory.
