The official artwork of the logos for the 3 factions in Command & Conquer - Free to Play has been released. Check them out below. From left to right, it's the European Union (EU), Global Liberation Army (GLA) and the Asian-Pacific Alliance (APA). They are all available as high resolution transparent PNG images.

Well, now we know the EU will be OP with their teleportation, Defiant-class destroyers and other "diplomatic" advantages

They shouldn't have based the EU faction with such a "tight" reference to the real life EU in my opinion. They did great spreading everything out with factions such as the GLA or APA, but I'm not a huge fan of the EU in real life and that influences my standing and intuitive opinion about the in game EU faction. Same goes for the EU logo (which I don't like). The developers eliminated the real life China scenario (problem) by forming the APA for instance and I don't see why the EU couldn't have been (oh, I don't know) the EC - European Coalition or something that isn't directly linked to some present day organizations/alliances (philosophically, visually or otherwise).

You know a term "target" in marketing? That's how this roll in a gaming industry. Create a faction in game which exist in real world and some morons who loves this organisation / foundation etc. will pay for anything which involve EU, USA etc.

I'd personally love to see the GLA take up the position of the "good guys" as the anti-propaganda side against the evil EU or US capitalist opressors that rule the world and spread "democracy" via bombs from the sky along with false flag operations as an opposite to what the original Generals game depicted, but oh well... western propaganda wins again. So, yeah, not gonna happen in game, obviously...

 

EDIT:

On a side note, I'd love to get my hands on a cleaner looking GLA logo. Without the new one's wear and tear detailing.
