New Grand Theft Auto V Gameplay Trailer

Meh, that always happens. Games have a stigma of being different from movies, rightfully so.

Parents are less likely to let their kids watch R rated (18+) movies because of content matter like boobs or penis, yet when we look at games, M (18+) rated games typically didn't actually have exposed genitals, they usually just had gore or sexual themes. The new Grand Theft Auto actually exposes more than usual, but because it has the stigma of being "some video game," parents aren't nearly as likely to care about their kids playing it.

And hell, look at the original grand theft auto. Top view, pixelated murder, and yet it was still rated M for mature. It's not just the parents or the contents fault. The standards have even changed. I bet anything in the world, if you released GTA V ten years ago, exactly how it was, it would probably be rated Adults Only. Honestly? I'm surprised it's not rated AO right now.

More decent news, looks like GTA V Online (to be released this October 1) will feature microtransactions:

Paying for the game means you have to pay to win, just like WoW. This is getting beyond ridiculous.

That really doesn't make any sense. You're only able to buy in-game cash, that just lets you buy items that really don't give you any advantage. Clothes, property, cars, etc. It's not like the cash is making you a better, faster, or stronger killer.

Purchased GTA V on PS3 today... well more like yesterday. Feels like GTA IV to me, but still good fun. But I hate doing the chase style missions though, they piss me off and get frustrating.
