New Grand Theft Auto V Gameplay Trailer

Recommended Posts

Probably the biggest game of 2013, here's the new GTA5 gameplay trailer...

Releases on PS3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th.

Will I buy this game?.... probably will.

Yep I pre-ordered it today. :D

I'd prefer a PC version... But PS3 will be fine, it'll probably be among the last games I play on the old girl.

If only Rockstar delays the release of GTA V until PS4 and Xbox One are released, then I'll bet the graphics are even better on those versions.

I'll wait to buy GTA V until the PC version is released.

Is it worth to do so?! All that money going in to the game (optimizing, taking advantage of console's features etc.) on consoles that few have in comparison to the Xbox 360 and PS3.

My bet is that they'll wait a year, maybe two till they announce a release date for the PS4 and Xbone's versions of the game. It would make more sense as more people will own them consoles.

Anyway, trailer looks superb. I was blown away as I wasn't sure what to expect, I'm also more interested in the MP right now rather than the SP portion as most of my time in GTA IV was spent playing with mates in the sandbox mode. Not sure how they can improve that but even technical improvements such as improving the net-code will do fine.

I don't know what the scale is, but it looks bigger to me...

Just on how you compare one game map among other gaming maps (can't find a bigger image for that):

Other sources on map size:

If GTA San Andreas is about 13.6 squared miles, Red Dead Redemption about 28 sq. miles and GTA IV (Liberty City) about 6.8 sq. miles, then the total estimated sq. miles for a GTA V map could be about 48.5 sq. miles. One source says the water covers one-third of the overall map.

I see lots of big empty spaces which is nice, reminds me of San Andreas. :)

If that bright light in the middle is a nuke going off and not just a glare, then I approve. Otherwise, needs more nukes.

I would love to if it had realistic (albeit temporary) effects. If buildings actually crumbled and it created a huge shockwave that blew cars and people away, and you could explore the environment, etc, etc, etc. Then yeah, I would love that.

The way someone would probably mod someone in, it would be nothing more than a large explosive with a huge force / blast radius that sends people and cars flying. Which would be cool, don't get me wrong, but it would have that nuclear feel.

Online looks fun, but I can see it just being the largest troll fest of all time. :P

That is why it's the god damn best multiplayer game to play with mates. :D

When you troll a friend, it's completely acceptable!

New article: http://societyandreligion.com/gta-5-pc-release-date-map-latest-news/

If there is going to be a PC version for GTA V, it had better be on a dual-layer Blu-Ray disc regardless of disc space requirement (even Max Payne 3 needs 4-5 dual-layer DVDs to install). It's so odd these years why gaming companies aren't concentrating on using Blu-Ray media for gaming other than movie companies going mostly for Blu-Ray.

It won't be released on Blu Ray for PC, because no one owns a Blu Ray drive on PC. :) Tis a fact.

Finally someone created a fan-made 3D terrain map of Los Santos:

IMO, the map's not big enough for the landscape. What a waste of water. Even there are more streets in GTA IV than this one.

Has anyone played the game yet? Early reviews are in, and they wind up with almost par results with the GTA IV game (except for user ratings). As for the map, someone said it is 65% desert/mountains and 35% streets. Well if there were mountains and hills, what happened to controlling planes other than helicopters?

Yeah that map summary sounds about right, I've only played a few hours and its been mostly in Los Santos. It feels like GTA III, just with less gang violence.. Well to a point. :P
