Cyborg_Commando 0 Posted October 7, 2004 ok here's the thing I've got many movies, but many of them have resolution 352x288 now I just recently bought a dvd-burner and I want to burn them on a dvd to play it on a dvd-player but the resolution of a dvd is 720x576 so will the movie be stretched out from 352x288 to 720x576? Koen 2 Posted October 7, 2004 You cannot just put AVI movies on a DVD (unless you have a DivX-compatible DVD player), you have to re-encode (or transcode) them to MPEG2. While doing this the resolution will also be changed. Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted October 8, 2004 I wouldn't recommend stretching any video into a larger size. It always looks bad specially at that low a resoultion. Have fun rendering your files. If you don't want to go converting everything and all that stuff you can just throw the vids on a VCD. Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted October 8, 2004 Well... there might be some minor quality loss. But really it needs to be converted to the video format that DVD players use. And it may not look as good as a 'real' DVD because the input movie has a lower resolution than regular DVDs. Share this post Link to post
