Well. I tried to install Command & Conquer: generals zero hour BUT!

Error1325.Waterplane is not a valid short file name. appeared.

 

How do i fix this?
I can't play. (

Perhaps a bad install of the game? Have you tried re-installing?

 

Uninstall the game via the Control Panel and then delete any folders left, throw in your Zero Hour disc and re-install the game. Grab the Zero Hour 1.04 patch as well http://www.cncnz.com/features/command-conquer-patch-centre/3/

No it wont let me install or uninstall it. I tried it all..

Your error either means you're trying to run a badly coded mod or you're using a ridiculously bad pirated release.

Run setup.exe in disc 1 as administrator.

This could actually be a problem with the Windows installer system. What version of Windows do you have?

Could it be due to not uninstalling properly in the previous instance (just deleting files) and it nor being removed from the registry / still having old files in place?
