tibed for C&C95 No Info

I am having an issue with tibed. Although I do not believe that tibed is at fault here. This issue only takes place with C&C95 where I open the editor screen and all values are vastly incorrect (see screenshot). Most of the info on the building tab is all zeros. This makes it virtually impossible to use for C&C95 and I would very much like to use it. Anyone have an idea as to why this is happening?

Out of curiosity, what do you see when you're on the "Manual" tab for that vehicle or any others?

This is very strange.

 

I installed C&C 95 and TibEd, and everything was working fine for me.

 

I turn off my computer for the night, and suddenly, today, I'm experiencing the exact same error as you.

 

I'm not sure how.

 

I've tried restoring all the files manually using Nyerguds' ini rules listed here: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/inirules/

 

Unfortunately, this failed. For anyone else who might be able to help, here's the error I'm experiencing upon trying to save changes to the game, whether or not I use Nyerguds' ini files, and regardless of using Bibber's fixed launchers.: http://imgur.com/a/pNEXu

 

Nyerguds? Got any ideas, or alternatives for Tim?

I'm not sure anyone other than Koen could decipher those error messages, but Koen hasn't logged on since December 2013.

Yeah, that's why I figured an alternative might help. Because you can't just add a rules.ini file to the game folder like with other games, basic text editing is out. Someone with experience modding C&C 95 might be able to help Tim out, unfortunately, that's not my area of knowledge.

This could just be because of me messing with the game's exe quite extensively in my patch. One shifted byte and that whole system goes to hell.

 

I'll take a look at it at home.

I've tested it with and without your patch, and the issue occurs regardless.

 

I think this is an issue specific to TibEd or the Origin version of Tiberian Dawn, though what makes it strange is TibEd hasn't been updated in years, and I've never had this issue until yesterday, so I have to assume it's the Origin version of the game. Only issue there is that is that patches and alternate versions of the C&C95.exe make no apparent difference, which is why I'm stumped on this one.

 

Edit (Since I'm always editing): I found this thread from a couple years back where you (Nyerguds) ran into someone else having the same issue, but it seems they fixed it on their own. Looks like they pulled a fresh install of TibEd after setting their computer language properly to a Unicode language. Doesn't really help me much, my computer is set to English, but this might help you (Tim).

 

Edit 2: Tim, here's what I did to fix the problem.

• I installed Nyerguds C&C Gold Patch (look under Downloads, it's the first link)
• I uninstalled TibEd. I then went into Program Files and made sure the TibEd folder was COMPLETELY deleted - there were some files left behind after uninstalling.
• I downloaded and installed TibEd fresh, only installing TibEd for C&C 95.

It worked. Now, in the off chance that it still does NOT work for you, here is a save file for default settings in TibEd. This file may be your last hope unless someone figures out another solution. Edited March 11, 2016 by Rabbit

I'm still on Windows 7, though I wouldn't be surprised if Windows 10 is an additional problem. I've edited my previous post (while you were replying), and I seemed to have fixed the problem for myself, if at least temporarily.

I followed your instructions and only installed tibed for CC95 and it works beautifully. I have since reinstalled on tibed all other titles tibed can edit and still looks golden. Thank you and may God bless you! Now time for some serious NOD powerups...muahahaha
