Idea for new General

Hi again...

 

Just wondering if there are any mod makers are willing add this general I made up to his/her mod. Was going to put him into a Zero Hour fanfiction I'm writing, but I figured maybe if this guy was put in a mod first?

(Burton) "Well would you look at that! Col. Burton! Maybe if we made him a cyborg he'd at least stand a chance against me... hehe."

 

(Lotus) "Oh, man! Not Black Lotus! She might reprogram my robots and turn them against me! Kidding! Their command systems are protected by dozens of firewalls!"

 

(Kell) "There aren't any drivers for Jarmen Kell to kill, I'm afraid. You're just wasting his talents, General!"

 

(PUC) "Oh dear, a Particle Cannon... how... unimaginative."

 

(Nuke) "You're forgetting something, General. Radiation doesn't harm robots!"

 

(SCUD) "Why bother using Anthrax when the only kind of virus that can possibly hurt my babies is a computer virus--whoops, too much information."

 

(Attack Delay) "The more you wait, the more robots I make, General. Remember that."

"You ever seen 'Universal Soldier', General? Pretty silly, huh? Robots are a far more superior investment compared to 'zombies'!"

 

(Before Attack) "Ready or not, here we come!"

 

(During Attack) (a la terminator) "Hasta La Vista, General!"

 

(After Attack) "Wow, you actually survived. I am SO gonna TERMINATE you next time!"

 

(Airfield) "Hmm... Airplanes... maybe if they were unmanned, we wouldn't have to waste so many lives..."

(Oil Derrick) "Hey, give that back! Robots need oil to run, you know!"

 

(Oil Refinery) "Robots are extremely costly and I'm no billionaire!"

 

(Platform) "If that Artillery Platform were unmanned, I wouldn't have to worry about it getting captured..."

 

(Reinforcement Pad) "Well, whaddya know! General, you didn't tell me you need backup to win!"

 

(Dozer Blasted) "Keep away from my dozers, you brute! They've got people in them!"

 

(Airfield Blasted) "General, do you realize that aircraft are manned vehicles? There were people in those planes!"

 

(Factory Blasted) "No! Not my precious robots!"

 

(Barracks Blasted) "Soldiers... so easy for them to die... *sigh*"

 

(C Center Blasted) "It's not like I need a Command Center to control my amry, unlike SOME Generals out there."

 

(CFR Blasted) "Hey, that's not fair! I need power to run my drones!"

 

END: (Player Win) "I can only say one thing, General... (a la terminator) 'I'll be back.'"

Very nice. I see you put a lot of thought into this general, down to his quotes when you capture an oil derrick. I only heard Granger comment on this actually, which I thought was a nice dig at America and the suggestion that Iraq was about the oil. A couple of quotes seem off, but then again whose quotes isn't? Do you have an idea of what the general might look or sound like?

Looks like? Eh... always imagined him as a carrot top with an aquiline nose and goatee. Southern Accent like General Duke (Starcraft). What quotes struck you as a little off?

First of all, I find quite a few of the original generals quotes to be pretty shocking, so you have done pretty well as is. Now here are the ones I think you might want to change or delete (and be better than EA for it).

 

(lots of defenses) "Seriously, now, do you ACTUALLY THINK those *defense structure* can stand up to my robot army?" [defense structures I think you mean, but other than that this is fine.

 

(Lotus) "Oh, man! Not Black Lotus! She might reprogram my robots and turn them against me! Kidding! Their command systems are protected by dozens of firewalls!" [Vlad says something similar in Max Payne, and it really grinds on my nerves. That might be just me though.]

 

(SCUD) "Why bother using Anthrax when the only kind of virus that can possibly hurt my babies is a computer virus--whoops, too much information." [Granted, Generals can be insensitive at times, but given the real life anthrax scares you might want to edit this one.]

 

(Dozer Blasted) "Keep away from my dozers, you brute! They've got people in them!" [You brute? Alexander would be more fitting to say this. Maybe cut this.]

 

Other than that, I think they are very well done. Hey, even with those quotes I pointed out they are very well done.

Yeah, sure. Why not? Go on and mod it! Always wanted to see justice done to the USA Robotics Division. I mean, They have more drones and drone-related upgrades than they do laser units and upgrades.

 

And the quotes? That one about Lotus - there's a lot of that kind of quote going around in games, lately, so they're pretty common.

 

Anthrax... figured most of his units besides aircraft and dozers would be robots.

 

Dozers. Yeah, maybe 'brute' should be replaced with 'psycho' or 'sicko' or 'homicidal maniac' or 'murderer' or something.

 

Defenses. If the plural's the only problem, then I have nothing to say about it except, yeah, plurals are a problem.

Aerial drones? If you're not talking about spy drones, then could you elaborate about the aerial ones?

I ain't talking about spy drones. What i meant was drones like raptors, only smaller but as tough. Or drones that can launch missiles while flying.

 

Idea 1:

(Call it whatever you want cause i don't have a name for it)

 

Cost:1100

 

Armaments: 1 Minigun (like what mini-gunners use), 8 hellfires, laser point defense system

 

Abilities: Detects stealth

 

What do you say?

Also it has to be built at the airfield but 2 drones per hangar so 8 per airfield. Also, I think it should be affected by drone amor + a unique upgrade: heat- seeking hellfire (NEVER misses with this upgrade ). But the hellfires should

be small or something to be more realistic because the unit is small.

Or, too keep with the unmanned aircraft, no pilot comes out even when unit has 3 stripes. Also the speed should be equivalent with the King Raptor.

I dunno... sounds a little overpowered to me, if you know what I mean. Largest amount of hellfires any unit had was 4, then had to reload overtime, like the commanche.

 

Don't take this the wrong way, but it kinda tips the balance off a bit. Not that I don't like it or anything since you say the military is developing something like that, but it's just my belief to keep the sides balanced

But can I ask you something? Does this General have infantry or they just some kind of ugrades with miniguns or cyborg clones like that??

 

As for tanks, they are good... I got something on my mind. Just to give some ideas or for your future mod. How about you add something like:

 

Goliath (Star Craft) but this one have pilot. Weapons like missiles and dual-chain gun. Self-repair and no drone. Able to detect stealth.

Strong vs tanks, air craft, infantry.

Weak vs missiles

 

Cyborg Commandos or sorts... Dual chain guns, C4s in the inventory, laser upgrade (optional), cannot be promoted, can climb cliff, stealth ability (optional). Require Gen promotion or Strategy Center to build.

Strong vs tank, infantry, buildings

Weak vs aircraft, missile

 

If Malcom got stealth commanche, why don't this Leo guy have unmanned commanche. Laser to replace guns. Cheaper and reload faster. No stealth ability. Counter measure (optinal). Able to attack air units (optional)

Streanght and weakness just like basic commanche.

 

Microwave tank with laser/guns. Have electronic jammer to jam vehicle and buildings. Others just like basic Microwave tank.

 

Defences?? EMP, lasers or sort... Oh I know, electromagnetic rail guns!!! Can be included with units. Power consuming (for defences).

Strong vs tank, infantry, aircraft, incoming projectile

 

Gen. Point.

No pathfinder.

EMP Bomb at lvl 3 or 5

 

That just my ideas... You can take it for your reference.

 

Oh by the way some one was posting someting about mode to include Gen Leang. This one is purely Chinese. Who's that guy huh? I got some idea for him/her.
